After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Hills, Valhalla was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Monte Vista Monarchs 61-25. The matchup marked the Norsemen's most dominant victory of the season.

Ava Miles was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-22 to rack up 29 points along with seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Chanel akka was another key player, putting up 16 points and five steals.

Monte Vista's loss came despite strong showings from Taylor Mayer and Knikole Steward. Mayer posted ten points, while Steward earned nine points. That was a full 36% of Monte Vista's points, marking the third time in a row Steward has had more than a third of the team's points.

Valhalla's record is now 4-17. As for Monte Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 18 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.
