Basketball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United was the 51-20 winner over Conemaugh Township when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The United Lions fell to the Conemaugh Township Indians 36-32.

Leading Conemaugh Township to victory were Ava Byer and Mayce Kordell. Byer posted 11 points along with six boards and three steals, while Kordell earned nine points and three steals. Kordell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

United now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Conemaugh Township, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

United will venture away from home to challenge Conemaugh Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Conemaugh Township, they will welcome Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
