Volleyball Recap: Whitehouse's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After a string of six wins, Whitehouse's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 3-1 to the Texas Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Whitehouse lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Whitehouse's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 24-10. As for Texas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Whitehouse will take on rival Hallsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Texas is set to square off against their familiar foe Nacogdoches at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
