Basketball Game Preview: San Juan Spartans vs. Highlands Scots

San Juan is 1-9 against Highlands since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The San Juan Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Highlands Scots at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

San Juan is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Golden Sierra, falling 54-15. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.

Meanwhile, Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 47-4 loss at the hands of Vacaville Christian.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.

San Juan strolled past Highlands when the teams last played back in January by a score of 38-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Juan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
