Soccer Game Preview: Point Arena vs. Geyserville

Point Arena has gone 7-2 against Geyserville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will host the Bronchos at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Point Arena's offense. They came up short against Sonoma Academy on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Point Arena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Sonoma Academy are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Geyserville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Credo.

Point Arena's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2. As for Geyserville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Everything went Point Arena's way against Geyserville in their previous matchup back in September, as Point Arena made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bronchos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
