Basketball Recap: Annville-Cleona Takes a Loss

Annville-Cleona lost against Biglerville back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Annville-Cleona Dutchmen came up short against the Biglerville Canners, falling 50-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dutchmen have suffered since December 17, 2024.

Leading Biglerville to victory were Ava Peterson and Claire Roberts. Peterson went 7 for 10 to rack up 20 points, while Roberts went 5 of 12 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Peterson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kierney Weigle, who posted seven points.

Annville-Cleona is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8. As for Biglerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Annville-Cleona nor Biglerville have any future games scheduled.
