Softball Recap: Millard North Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Millard North extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping them up to 32-4. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Marian Crusaders. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 25 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jayda Juarez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jadyn Pokorny, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tenley Kampbell, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Millard North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive contests.

As for Marian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Marian's side, Brooklyn Kincaid made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

As of now, neither Millard North nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
