            Football Recap: Poland Knights vs. Freeport Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            After losing to Freeport the last time they met, Poland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights were the clear victors by  a  35-14 margin over the Falcons on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Knights' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

  Damon Martin was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 21 yards and one  touchdown, while also throwing for 51 yards and one  TD. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  passer rating (109).
Poland now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Freeport, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.
 Looking ahead, Poland will face off against Maine Central Institute at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.71  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Freeport, they will challenge Dirigo at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
