Maine High School Football - Poland tops Freeport

October 18, 2025: Poland, ME 04274

The Poland Knights football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Freeport Falcons to 14 in the Knights league victory on Saturday.

In their next game, the Knights face the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a D North challenge, on Friday, October 24. Poland will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 42-8 league loss to Maranacook (Readfield, ME).

The Falcons (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Cougars come into the D South test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Dirigo topped Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME), 32-0, in a league test.
