Cairo had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Seminole County on Wednesday. The Syrupmakers put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Syrupmakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Cairo, bringing their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Seminole County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cairo beat Seminole County by a score of 16-2 later that day.
