The Legend Titans will take on the Pine Creek Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Legend is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Chatfield as they made off with an 8-1 win.

Legend got a great performance from Jacob Combest as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Combest a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Carson Reffel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Fladebo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Pine Creek faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles never let the Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Tristan Mullis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Mullis was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Troy Peerey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Cruise Reid was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
Pine Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Legend, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Legend hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pine Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Legend came up short against Pine Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2019, falling 18-13. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
