Allatoona is still undefeated this season after their contest against Cartersville on Monday, but Cartersville came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Buccaneers had just enough and edged out the Hurricanes 5-3. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Buccaneers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Allatoona's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cartersville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Allatoona will face off against rival Cass at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 2.2, the Colonels 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cartersville is set to challenge their familiar foe Hiram at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
