Football Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lincoln and North Providence pushed the score to 44-28 the last time they played North Providence, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Lions took a 14-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 37 points in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lincoln has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for North Providence, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coming up, Lincoln will venture away from home to challenge South Kingstown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Providence, they will welcome Mt. Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 12.7 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
