Baseball Recap: Montini Catholic Beats IC Catholic Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Montini Catholic waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the IC Catholic Prep Knights as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kevin May looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Santino Mateja was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Kameron Cox was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Montini Catholic now has a winning record of 10-9. As for IC Catholic Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Montini Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
