Baseball Recap: Lassiter Comes Up Short

If Lassiter was riding high fresh off their 13-4 takedown of Riverwood last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Pope Greyhounds on Tuesday, falling 11-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lassiter's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Pope, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

While Lassiter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
