Limon had lost ten games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 5-17 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Holyoke Dragons 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Badgers have posted since September 6, 2024.
Bryleigh Fox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Limon got a massive performance out of Randi Carson, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Carson a new career-high. Jessa Book was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Limon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
As for Holyoke, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since September 7, 2024.
On Holyoke's side, Hailey Clapper was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlie Brandt, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Limon beat Holyoke by a score of 13-11 later that day.
