Soccer Game Preview: Clyde vs. Edison

Clyde is 1-8-1 against Edison since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Fliers will venture away from home to face off against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Clyde has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clyde came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-1 to Old Fort.

Meanwhile, Edison strolled into their game on Wednesday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let Vermilion get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering Edison have won 15 matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Vermilion with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carter Jones (4), Jose Serna Amaya (2), and Alex Davidson.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 16-0-1. As for Clyde, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Clyde might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Edison when the teams last played back in September. Can the Fliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
