Soccer Game Preview: Gateway vs. San Francisco Waldorf

The Gateway Gators will take on the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Francisco Waldorf took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Gateway, who comes in off a win.

Gateway had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Trinity Prep on Friday. The Gators put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 5-1 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Waldorf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Drew. While losing is never fun, San Francisco Waldorf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Drew are ranked ninth).

Gateway now has a winning record of 7-6-4. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1.
