Softball Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

Shaw and Crisp County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Shaw had to settle for second. They lost 12-4 to the Cougars. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Michayla Bledsoe and RaeLeigh Odom did some serious damage despite the final result: Bledsoe went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Odom went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Gerber, who earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Crisp County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-12.

While Shaw had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
