Softball Recap: Mounds Comes Up Short

Mounds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 14-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Mounds' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chouteau-Mazie, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mounds will venture away from home to challenge Caney Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Chouteau-Mazie, they will head out to take on Locust Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
