Basketball Game Preview: Duarte Falcons vs. La Puente Warriors

The Duarte Falcons will square off against the La Puente Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. La Puente took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Duarte, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Duarte turned things around against Flintridge Sacred Heart on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 51-27 margin over the Tologs. The Falcons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 18th (when they won 56-24).

Meanwhile, La Puente played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-24 loss at the hands of Dominguez. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-3.

La Puente has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Duarte, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
