Saugus has gone 8-2 against Canyon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Centurions will challenge the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Saugus has given up an average of 27.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saugus is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since October 4, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by Valencia and fell 55-14. The Centurions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Although Saugus took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Hernandez and Landon Lattimore.

Meanwhile, while Canyon put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Castaic. The Cowboys blew past the Coyotes 42-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cowboys' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

This is the second loss in a row for Saugus and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Canyon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Saugus came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 27-24. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cowboys' Sebastian Martinez, who rushed for 22 yards and two scores, and also threw for 277 yards while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Centurions to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
