Baseball Game Preview: West Point Pointers vs. Lancaster Red Devils

West Point hasn't had much luck against Lancaster recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pointers will venture away from home to challenge the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Neither West Point nor Lancaster posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

West Point fell victim to Middlesex and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 14-0.

West Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kekoa Ferguson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lancaster suffered their biggest defeat since March 27, 2025 on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to Rappahannock. Considering the last time the Red Devils couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.

West Point suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Lancaster in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Pointers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
