Basketball Recap: United Falls Short of Southern Huntingdon County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact United can now relate to. They lost 55-32 to the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets on Wednesday. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Lilly McGinnis and Brooke Esposito certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. McGinnis went 6-for-13 on her way to 19 points, while Esposito posted four points and five rebounds. McGinnis is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

United now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Southern Huntingdon County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

United does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they will venture away from home to face off against Penns Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
