Soccer Recap: Truckee Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Truckee finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the South Tahoe Vikings by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Truckee couldn't quite close it out.

Truckee moved to 10-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for South Tahoe, they pushed their record up to 10-3-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Truckee and South Tahoe should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wolverines will take on Incline at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (19 vs. 73). Meanwhile, South Tahoe (ranked 20th) will meet Wooster (ranked 72nd) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
