Baseball Recap: Noxapater Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Choctaw County, Noxapater was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Louisville Wildcats by a score of 9-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Briston Daugherty was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Reid Ellison was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

The win got Noxapater back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Noxapater will take on Scott Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Louisville, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
