Basketball Recap: Shade Panthers vs. Windber Ramblers
This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their 17th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 55-10 loss at the hands of Windber. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Shade has scored all season.
Windber found their leader in underclassman Kaylie Gaye, who scored 13 points along with seven steals. Gaye hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Andrews, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Shade's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Windber, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Shade will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Windber, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berlin Brothersvalley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
