Soccer Game Preview: Alameda vs. Berkeley

The Alameda Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Alameda is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Piedmont on Friday. The Hornets fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 1-0. Alameda have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Berkeley waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Trojans 5-0. The result was nothing new for Berkeley, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Castro Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cecily Worthington (2), Mia Sieminski (2), and Sophia Hammond.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Berkeley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4-2.
