Soccer Recap: Valencia Takes a Loss

Valencia fought the good fight in their overtime match against Highland on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Highland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 2nd.

Valencia's goal came courtesy of Bladimir Ramirez, who's now up to two this season.

Valencia has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Highland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Valencia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Belen on the 23rd. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against St. Pius X on the 23rd.
