Stratford Academy played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the John Milledge Academy Trojans 6-5. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Fritz, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Johnston, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Stratford Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for John Milledge Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.
