Soccer Recap: Mt. Zion Comes Up Short

Mt. Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Douglas County Tigers, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 3-0.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Douglas County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will square off against Atlanta Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Zion has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Douglas County, they will challenge Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrollton will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Douglas County surely won't give up without a fight.
