Softball Recap: Crisp Academy Takes a Loss

Crisp Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southwest Georgia Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Brynleigh Gravitt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Crisp Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Wildes, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Crisp Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crisp Academy will challenge Windsor Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they will face off against Southland Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
