Basketball Recap: Wilber-Clatonia Comes Up Short at Home Against Tri County + How To Watch

Wilber-Clatonia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Tri County Trojans on Thursday, falling 57-35. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Tri County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isabelle Peters led the charge by shooting 50% from the field to rack up 16 points and six steals. Peters has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Beerenstrauch, who went 7-for-13 on her way to 17 points and five boards.

Coming up, Wilber-Clatonia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against H&H at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri County, they will venture away from home to take on Superior at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
