Softball Recap: Rocky Ford Takes a Loss

Rocky Ford lost against University back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Meloneers lost 12-3 to the Bulldogs. The contest marked the Meloneers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Rocky Ford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annesyiah Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Kassidy Kurtz also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Rocky Ford now has a losing record of 2-3. As for University, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Rocky Ford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-10 defeat against Gunnison on the 29th. As for University, they have also already played their next match, a 9-6 victory against Roosevelt on the 26th.
