Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Spirits vs. Marina Mariners

The Notre Dame Spirits will head out to challenge the Marina Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Notre Dame has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Marina will arrive with 14 straight victories.

Marina's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Notre Dame was dealt a bruising 55-9 loss at the hands of Marina in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Marina's Shekinah Williams, who dropped a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals.
