Volleyball Recap: Psalms Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Psalms Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians.

While Psalms Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made John Paul the Great Academy work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-14, 23-25, 25-14, 26-24.

Leading John Paul the Great Academy to victory were Anna Guidry and Autumn Terrance. Guidry had 13 kills and five aces, while Terrance had five aces and three digs. Guidry has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played.

Psalms Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for John Paul the Great Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Psalms Christian Academy will challenge NELA Christian Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
