Recap: Mariposa County Grizzlies vs. Gustine Reds
The Mariposa County Grizzlies were the 37-27 winner over the Gustine Reds when they last played one another on January 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Mariposa County fell to Gustine 37-31.
Shandel Aguilera continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gustine, scoring 14 points along with seven steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Aguilera posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Jackson, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Mariposa County now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Gustine, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mariposa County will take on Delhi at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Delhi comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Gustine, they will be playing at home against Denair at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Denair is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
