La Serna is 9-1 against Santa Fe since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The La Serna Lancers will square off against the Santa Fe Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, La Serna was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-43 to California. The loss continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Condors: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe fought the good fight in their overtime game against El Rancho on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons. The Chiefs were up 22-8 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

This is the second loss in a row for Santa Fe and nudges their season record down to 20-4. As for La Serna, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.

La Serna came up short against Santa Fe when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 49-43. Can La Serna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
