Recap: Warren Bears vs. Downey Vikings

The Warren Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Downey 67-22. Warren was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Downey was led to victory by Genesis Salinas and Olivia Vaughn. Salinas scored 17 points along with two steals, while Vaughn scored 14 points along with five steals. Salinas continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Symantha Barnett, who scored five points along with three steals and two blocks.

Warren has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Downey, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will take on Lynwood at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Lynwood will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Downey, they will head out on the road to challenge Paramount at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Paramount is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
