Columbia lost to McNair back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Columbia Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the McNair Mustangs, sneaking past 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Columbia's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Hiley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Another was Kamaree Benton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Columbia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McNair struck out eight times.

Columbia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for McNair, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Columbia will square off against Stephenson at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. As for McNair, they will head out to take on Miller Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
