Recap: Northwest Area Rangers vs. MMI Preparatory School
The Northwest Area Rangers's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 53-11 win over MMI Preparatory School at home. With Northwest Area ahead 39-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Northwest Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karsyn Miner, who scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Miner has scored at least 25% of Northwest Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Bowman, who scored 13 points.
The victory got Northwest Area back to even at 1-1. As for MMI Preparatory School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Area will play host again and welcome Hughesville, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. MMI Preparatory School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sullivan County at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th.
