Softball Recap: Fullington Academy Has No Trouble Against Twiggs Academy

While Fullington Academy put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Twiggs Academy. Fullington Academy put the hurt on Twiggs Academy with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering Fullington Academy has won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Brooklin Cromer, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Twiggs Academy off the board. Cromer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Fullington Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Twiggs Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Fullington Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twiggs Academy, they will be playing at home against Flint River Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.12 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
