Fletcher has gone 9-1 against First Coast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Senators will challenge the Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Friday, Fletcher came up short against Mandarin and fell 22-13. While losing is never fun, the Senators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Mustangs are ranked 23rd).

Despite their loss, Fletcher saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ja'Mez Williams, who rushed for 131 yards, was perhaps the best of all. Joshua Jones was in the mix as well, providing the Senators with two TDs.

While Fletcher came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Mandarin: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 46.7%. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for the Senators; they were averaging 64.5%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 64.5%.

Meanwhile, First Coast played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 45-13 defeat at the hands of Bishop Kenny. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for First Coast, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Fletcher against First Coast in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 28-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Senators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
