Softball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Takes a Loss

Cherokee Bluff lost against Brookwood back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears came up short against the Broncos, falling 8-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaycee Archer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Cherokee Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Brookwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cherokee Bluff will venture away from home to take on Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookwood, they will head out to face off against Seckinger at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
