Baseball Recap: Gaston Comes Up Short

Gaston lost to Knappa on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Loggers by a score of 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gaston's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Knappa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Gaston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Knappa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nestucca at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Loggers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
