Soccer Game Preview: Alameda vs. Berkeley

Alameda hasn't had much luck against Berkeley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Alameda duke it out with the Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Alameda's offense. They lost 5-0 to Bishop O'Dowd on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Dragons are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, Berkeley and Castro Valley finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

With that draw, Berkeley's record moves to 6-7-5. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1.
