Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Prep Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cornerstone Prep Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints 17-16. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Madden Ruplin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cornerstone Prep Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 0-7 otherwise. Ruplin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
