After a string of 16 wins, Troup County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 5-2 to the Whitewater Wildcats. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

Troup County's defeat dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Whitewater, their win bumped their record up to 19-10.
