Softball Recap: St. Augustine Takes a Loss

St. Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-3 to the Menendez Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Gus Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

St. Augustine's record now sits at 0-19. As for Menendez, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Coming up, St. Augustine will face off against Ponte Vedra at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sharks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Menendez, they will take on Bishop Kenny at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
