Basketball Game Preview: Providence Pioneers vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

Providence hasn't had much luck against Flintridge Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Providence Pioneers will welcome the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 5:30 p.m.

Providence is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Polytechnic, falling 70-21. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 976th, while the Panthers are ranked 422nd).

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 53-46.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Flintridge Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
